Week 9 presents a slew of profitable college football betting opportunities, topped by Georgia vs. Florida’s annual SEC East showdown. Our models point to value wagering a bevy of over-unders. Here our are expert picks, including score predictions:
No. 7 Georgia (-6.5, 52) vs. No. 9 Florida, at Jacksonville
Pick: UNDER 52
Georgia averages just 24.3 points per game against defenses surrendering less then three touchdowns all-time behind head coach Kirby Smart. Florida enters this annual rivalry allowing 16.6 per tilt. Neither team reaches 30 points in this defense-first clash.
Score Prediction: Bulldogs 27-20
No. 15 Washington (-11.5, 45) at California
Pick: UNDER 45
Head coach Chris Petersen has squared off against 12 Pac-12 rivals scoring less than 30 points a game entering a contest. Washington yields an average 14.6 points. The Huskies offense is also less potent this season with few signs of big-play ability.
Score Prediction: 30-14
No. 20 Wisconsin (-6, 53.5) at Northwestern
Pick: UNDER 53.5
Over the last decade, Northwestern scores 17.1 points per game as a home underdog against ranked competition. It has not posted more than 20 in a game in the last nine under these conditions, averaging 12.6 points overall. Look for a hard-nosed rushing attack from both.
Score Prediction: Badgers 24-13

No. 16 Texas A&M at Mississippi State (-1.5, 44)
Pick: UNDER 44
The Mississippi State offense is crawling under QB Nick Fitzgerald, failing to score more than a touchdown in three of its last four against SEC competition. Expect improvement, but not much. Bulldogs ability to stop the run limits Texas A&M tremendously.
Score Prediction: Bulldogs 20-17
Kansas State at No. 8 Oklahoma (-24.5, 64)
Pick: UNDER 64
Legendary head coach Bill Snyder will not let the Sooners build a big lead in Norman. In four previous outings at Memorial Stadium during his second stint coaching the Wildcats, Oklahoma averages 32.2 points per game.
Score Prediction: Sooners 38-24
No. 18 Iowa at No. 17 Penn State (-6.5, 52)
Pick: UNDER 52
Iowa’s 14.1 points allowed are the second fewest Penn State has ever had to face in Big Ten play during coach James Franklin’s tenure. The Nittany Lions should still put up a fair amount of points, but will not blast away. The Hawkeyes will be stuffed offensively at the always-intimidating Beaver Stadium.
Score Prediction: Nittany Lions 28-14

Washington State at Stanford (-3, 53)
Pick: UNDER 53
Stanford’s entire game plan is predicated on running the ball. It’s failing miserably, averaging 3.0 yards per carry. The defense is still good enough to slow the Air Raid attack of Washington State’s Mike Leach and keep this matchup competitive. Neither team gets out of the 20s in our models.
Score Prediction: Cardinal 25-22
